There are many areas to have fun on these 13.5 acres of land (10 acres of protected mangrove/preserve and 3.5 acres uplands). Ideal for those who enjoy privacy, tranquility, connection with nature, and star-watching.
The outdoor space was set up to explore the land. As soon as you walk off the house, you can take a walk down the dirt walkway while exploring the wildlife, Florida native plants, and watching the birds. Keep following this pathway and you’ll end up at the pond where you will be able to spot more wildlife if you take a few minutes to watch quietly.
The kitchen is equipped with older yet functional appliances. You’ll find all the basics needed to prepare a meal during your stay. Meals can be enjoyed at the kitchen bar or dining area. Each bedroom is equipped with a good-quality mattress. The master is equipped with a queen and a twin bed and a small desk. You can enjoy the view of the land from every bedroom.
The home is located in Saint James City which is on the southern part of Pine Island, FL. Pine Island has so much wildlife, and we are near the Tropical Point Park, Pine Island Flatwoods Preserve, and Galt Preserve. These parks and preserves feature miles of hiking trails, fishing pier, boardwalks, incredible views of the water and surrounding wildlife, kayak launch, picnic tables, public restrooms, and even a small beach. There are also some colorful restaurants nearby such as Froggy’s and The Waterfront Restaurant & Marina. Most of those parks and restaurants are located within 5 minutes of the property.
There will be some farm equipment and building materials for future and current projects around the property. Much like a painter's palette, things are not always neat and organized but everything there is potentially going to be used. Staying in a country house is considerably different than staying in a resort and we hope that this explanation helps to address your expectations.
You will be required to sign a rental agreement and credit card authorization form, which can be done electronically. The minimum age to place a reservation is 25 years. Access to the home can be restricted if requirements are not completed.
This property requires an energy contribution payment of $0.22 per KWh plus tax. A hold of $15 per day is required and will be placed on your card prior to your arrival. The actual amount will be charged after your stay based on your energy consumption.
Holidays: No check-in nor check-out is available on December 24th, 25th, 31st, and January 1st. Please note it when placing your reservation.
There is a $500 security deposit required. It will be a hold on your credit card, placed two days before arrival, and released 10 days after departure if no accidents happened.
There are security cameras at the front and on the sides of the house.
